Missing Manipal

The first time I entered Manipal, I found it so difficult to adjust to the new environment, new people, different language, etc. Then college started, we had assignments to do and life went on. It was only in the second semester that I began to like Manipal.
The lovely stroll to the college at my own pace, bargaining with my professor for attendance, then postponing classes and ah.. our college lab. It was a haven where we could watch movies and discuss. The many times we watched 'Lakshya' I can never forget.. I had fun in each semester. And presentations, wow! I relish doing presentations now. But yes i'd rather do presentations than have to listen to one!
The last sem was superb. I experienced a lot of different things. Arranging movie showing(which i was against all the time), then the unfortunate technical problems, (we were showing 'Departed' and it was a disaster, I said so..) meetings, planning, organising, writing press releases( Indian express even carried my article with the not-heard-of 'knick knacks' ) going to Udupi every other day, getting volunteers and then the DAY arrived. We were a group of 5 members. And we definitely were in shortage of guys. But I'm really grateful to Ravi, Sam, Jeetu, Nageen, and all of those who pitched in at the crucial moments.
I cherish the fun I had with Rosh and Arpi. I know i wont be able to convince you people that I'm still the same 'Clency'. But people change and so have I. I wonder how I've survived the trips to Udupi in the heat. But i've come to appreciate and love this place for countless reasons.
The mist in the morning, right inside the hostel and the scary winds right across the hostel corridor are something I'll really miss. And the day I had to go to college on Holi for 'a.m.plus' and our favourite 'anands' i'll miss forever.
